Registration Reminder!!

Registration of the 2009-2010 MOPS year is going on now. The current fee of $21.95 will go up to $23.95 after THIS FRIDAY May 29th. You can drop off (or get) your form at Christian Center Church and pay cash or check (make checks out to the church as well.) Office hours are 8:30-12:30 and 1:30-4:00. Office closes at 12:30 on Friday.

Moms night out is tomorrow at 6:30 at the high school track!

Our Open House and Registration is Tuesday the 26th in front of the Christian Center Church. Be sure to tell your friends!

That's a Wrap!

Our last meeting of the year was a great one-full of laughter and tears! We missed all of the moms that couldn't make it.
Don't forget that we are having our open house and registration on Tuesday May 26th in front of Christian Center church. There will be a bounce house and water toys for the kids.
This Tuesdays playgroup will be at Veterans park. The water toys should be on so bring your suits!
Moms Night Out for May will be on Friday May 22nd at the high school track to walk, talk and burn some calories! Bring water and Stephanie will bring some healthy snacks. Starting time is 6:30.

Last Meeting Of The Year

Our last official meeting of the year is this Tuesday May 12th! We hope you will all join us in wrapping up what was a great year for MOPS! Tuesday May 26th will be our open house and registration for next year and this would be a great opportunity to bring a friend!

Tuesday May 5th

This Tuesday playgroup will be at Central Park which is located next to the BC pool. Also, during that time there will be a Steering Team interest meeting. If you are interested in being a part of the behind the scenes activities of MOPS come to Kristin's house on Tuesday! 1437 San Felipe.

Spa Day!

Tuesday is Spa Day so come ready to be pampered! You'll also receive some tips on how to pamper yourself at home!

Yard Sale

HUGE yard sale this Saturday at 617 New Mexico. Clothes and shoes for children and adults. Toys, movies, books and household items. Doors open at 7:00

April Mom's Night Out

Mom's Night Out this month will be on Friday April 24th at Diary Queen! It should be plenty warm by then for some ice cream. :D Let's say around 6:30...come and go at your convenience!

As mothers we all struggle with what momentos to keep and what to throw away. The more children you have the more "things" you acquire! Our meeting on Tuesday will cover this issue and our creative activities leader Sarah will have some helpful tips on photography.

March 17th Meeting

Don't forget that there is a meeting this Tuesday, March 17th! As most of you know we had to switch the dates of our meetings and playgroups this month due to the renovations going on a the church building. At Tuesdays meeting our guest speakers will provide a three-generational look at mothering & relationships.

Playgroup and Mom's Night Out

I'd like to thank Sarah for putting together a great Valentine's Day craft! I hope everyone had a great time!

Valentine's Day Craft

Here's the scoop on our next meeting's creative activity!! This is a fun altered project that will make a nice gift for Valentine's Day. You will need to bring four photos to our next meeting on Feb.10th. The subject(s) of your photos could be of your Valentine recipient! (i.e. kids w/ hubby, hubby by himself, significant other, parent, child, etc.) The photos should be sized so they can be cropped (cut) between 2 x 2 and 3 x 3 (Please DO NOT bring originals or irreplaceable photos!) Don't fret if you forget your photos, you will still be able to create a neat project. Be prepared to start working on your project when you arrive because our project will need time to dry.

Feb. 3rd Playgroup and Car Seat Safety

Playgroup this week will be at Stephanie Werkema's house. Her address is 796 Amy Ct. Stephanie has a fun backyard that your little ones are sure to enjoy!

At our last meeting car seat safety was one of the topics of discussion. Staci Wood sent me some great information on what you can do if you see children that appear too young to be in the front seat or are not in a car seat.
To report drivers with unbuckled kids, call 1-877-kid-9111. The best thing to do is report everything you observe such as the car's license plate number, time of day, location, and the number of children that do not appear to be safe in the vehicle. Once the vehicle/driver has been reported, car seat safety information as well as an invitation to a car seat safety check will be sent to that vehicle's address.
